Life in the Present

In the midst of my European Vacation series, I will have to input real life in the present once in awhile.  I might as well insert today’s installment now.  🙂

We had our unusually warm day on Thursday and as far as I know, it did get up to +7C.  I know it was +6C early in the afternoon, but haven’t checked to see how warm it actually got.  That melted pretty much all the snow we had – which wasn’t much.  Then it snowed most of yesterday so we now have more snow that we had before our warm day.

But – its still not cold with a present temperature of -5C and no wind.  I sure hope we aren’t going to pay for this weather by having the coldest February on record.

I still have to go out to shovel the snow, but there is only about 2 inches of it, so that won’t take me long.  Its just a matter of getting my shoes and jacket back on again after walking Chester.

Anyway – Chester is doing great.  It has been almost 3 weeks since his last seizure.  Of course the seizures happen without warning so I have no idea when or if he will have another one.  We’re still taking this one day at a time, and enjoying these days.  He can still manage to make me laugh at least once a day.

The fresh snow from yesterday revealed that the bunny population is thriving with lots of bunny tracks around my car this morning.  I took pictures of the tracks as well as one of my tree, that looks nice with a bit of snow on the branches again.

Lots of bunny tracks – the next picture is the same tracks a little closer.
