This morning we decided to drive Libby and park her by the bus stop, so we wouldn’t have so far to walk. Our feet have covered quite a few miles in Paris so far and we expect to cover quite a few more today.
We’re doing great at finding our way where we want to go and are quite proud of ourselves.
We started today at the Louvre. I think you could spend several days at the Louvre and still have trouble seeing everything. We did find the Mona Lisa and looked at many other paintings as well.
After the Louvre, we walked over to Notre Dame Cathedral and walked around it for awhile. Then we stopped at another church, but I didn’t say what the name was, before catching the subway and bus to head back to our motel.
We were all groaning about our aching feet and were sure glad that Libby was waiting at the bus stop for us.
We had our dinner at a Chinese restaurant tonight, and although the food was good and the meal cost less than our motel restaurant, it was very crowded, noisy and hot. There was a large dog at the next table that kept barking at a girl at another table, who was banging on her glass to get the waiter’s attention. We’re going to eat at the motel restaurant tomorrow.
I didn’t take any pictures today, so I’m glad I saved the Eiffel Tower ones and a Seine River scene from yesterday for today. 🙂
Today was Friday, August 1st, 1975.
