Robin and the Worm

In practice for my trip to Africa, I got pictures of a Robin in action catching his food.  🙂

I’m not sure that this will prepare me for watching a lion, leopard, cheetah or hyaena chase and catch an animal (especially a young one), but its a start.  🙂

Well – you can’t really see the worm in the last picture, but you can see a little bulge in his crop where the worm is now.

It has been raining the last few days here and we are getting pretty waterlogged.  The grass is sure going to need a cutting as soon as it’s dry enough to cut it.  The rain and cool weather is continuing today.  Chester and I are still going for our walks, but they have been shortened a bit most days.

So far on Africam today, we have seen Elephant, Woolly-necked Stork, Black Eagle (eggs should be hatching soon), Nyala, Waterbuck, Wildebeest, Baboon, Egyptian Geese, Giraffe, Black-backed Jackal and Bushbuck.  Click here to see all the pictures from May 29.
