Sheesh!

It was a beautiful sunny and warm day yesterday and absolutely no critters that I could take pictures of, were to be found when Chester and I took our walk along the Red River.  He did find and stalk a bunny or 2 in the yards to and from the river – but nothing in and around our birding spots.

The American Goldfinch is back and I keep trying to get a picture of him – but so far no luck.  By the time I turn the camera on and start to zoom – he is gone.  I did see a Catbird also and tried to get a picture – but the same thing.  I’m sure they’re just teasing me.  I don’t remember seeing catbirds there before and I didn’t get to zoom in on it enough to be sure, but I think that is what it was.

Maybe I can get some pictures on today’s walk.

When I got the duckling pictures a couple of days ago, I also managed more of the Clay-colored Sparrow.  So – that is what you get today.  🙂

Well – we get to see his back anyway.  🙂

Then he turned to show some of his face.

So far on Africam today, we have seen Elephant, Giraffe, Hamerkop, Nyalas, Egyptian Geese, Wildebeest, Spotted Hyaena, Saddle-billed Stork, Cape Buffalo and the Black Eagle along with a newly hatched chick.  🙂  Click here to see all of the  pictures from June 6.
