Clay-colored Sparrow

The Clay-colored Sparrow is the little guy who sounds like an insect buzzing.  I got a video of him singing today – but you can’t hear the buzz until the last few seconds and then it is very faint.  In the background we can hear the Song Sparrow.  He’s a cute little guy and I hoped the buzz would be easier to hear, because I can sure hear him when I’m walking.  🙂

I also snapped a couple of pictures of him and although one was not in focus and the other turned out to be in motion, I thought the in motion one was good enough to post here (even though it isn’t 100% in focus due to the motion).

I wish I could figure out a way to keep the camera steady while zoomed in this much, without having to drag the tri pod with me.  Between Chester and his leash and the camera itself, I’ve got enough to carry.  Not that I carry Chester  🙂 its his leash I carry.

So far on Africam today, we have seen Lion, Zebra, Waterbuck, Nyala, Impala, Red-billed Hornbill, Hadeda Ibis, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Red Duiker, Kudu, Scrub Hare, Elephant, Side-striped Jackal and our Cheetah Salome with her 3 cubs.  Click here to see all of today’s pictures.
