Two cooperative critters in one walk yesterday. 🙂
A Song Sparrow didn’t sing for me, but posed nicely and what I think is a young Mallard Duck posed nicely as well. I only took one picture of the Song Sparrow and then took a video. It would have been nice if he had given us a little song while the video was going, but he didn’t. I put it here anyway, because I managed to keep it a bit more level than the last video.
Here is the Song Sparrow video
I think the duck is a young Mallard Duck. It doesn’t look 100% right with the tail being in the water, but I hope it is ok. This summer has been different, with hardly any ducks visible on our walks – so it was nice to see this one. I only saw one duck family and then they disappeared quickly, so maybe this is one of the babies from that clutch.
The heat wave continues here. We always seem to have a risk of thunderstorms, but nothing comes down to cool things down. Anyone without air conditioning is really feeling it by now.
