Hopefully the birds will continue showing themselves again when Chester and I take our walks along the Red River. This time it was a Cormorant – but he didn’t make it easy. I had to use the full optical zoom and then keep going into the digital zoom for the pictures that I got.
I believe this is a Double-crested Cormorant. He flew in, floated on the water for less than a minute and then took off and was on his way. He seemed to be looking up into the sky, so I’m not sure what he was looking at. I was too busy snapping pictures to follow his gaze.

So far on Africam today, we have seen Elephant, Nyala, Impala, Waterbuck, Egyptian Goose, Black Eagle and chick and our Cheetah Salome with her 3 cubs. Click here to see all of today’s pictures.
