The other day when I was taking pictures for Jewel’s photo shoot, I also managed to get a couple of pictures of Chester. He just feels so left out when he isn’t in front of the camera. 🙂 I also took one with the 2 of them in it, but Chester didn’t notice.
The one exciting thing that has happened is that we just received a new printer/fax/scanner at work. IT was coming in after I left yesterday to get it set up, so I am hoping that today we get to play (eeerrr – I mean work) with it. Small things excite us often. Our last printer still works – but it was designed for a home or small office that does not print hundreds of sheets per day and our fax is just so old that it doesn’t work 1/2 the time. This one is designed for a busy office so we shouldn’t be spending so much time trying to figure out why it doesn’t work.
I have been working an early shift this week and it is still dark when Chester and I walk, so I haven’t taken any pictures for days now.

Now, it is time to watch a bit of Africam before heading out for today’s dark walk, and then work where I can check out the new printer. 🙂
Hi Mavis! I am enjoying your blog very much–I read it every day. I had an African Grey for almost twenty years—arn’t they awesome! I liked seeing your pics of Jewel—does she talk? I had a long email today from my friends who live near Kruger–she said they need more rain, and sent pics of Jim sweeping their patio and four vervets within a couple feet of him–overseeing his job. —Eleanor

Thank you so much Eleanor. I’m glad you enjoy my postings.
Yes – Jewel talks. I have no idea how many words or phrases she uses, but it is in the hundreds.
I would love to experience what your friends do every day. Just being there for a short time and always on the move is different from waking up to it every day.
