Chester and I had our walk about an hour later than we had to during the work week, so we could see much better. The sun was coming up and as usual, the sky is always interesting during a sunrise.
A hawk of some kind flew over us, but by the time I turned the camera on and tried to follow him, he was too far away in the poor lighting to say what kind he is. You can’t even tell he is a hawk in the picture since he was flying away from us by then.
Oh the excitement at the office over our new printer/fax was well worth it. It was installed and mostly set up by the time I arrived there yesterday. With a couple of quick fixes, we had it working with all the computers and most of the fax numbers put into memory. I have a plan to re-position it, but don’t have the final say on things like that so will have to wait before going ahead with it. 🙂
The Hippo at Idube has been showing himself on the new camera there by Africam the last couple of days. The Cheetah cubs are growing as they should be and are lots of fun to watch.
The eggs of the pair of Spotted Eagle Owls (Potted Plant Owls) are probably not going to hatch this year. A decision has been made to give them about 3 more days and if no hatching the camera will be turned off. She will be allowed to sit on her eggs in privacy until she deserts them, which may not be too much longer. It is sad – but this is nature and something that we can not control.
You can find those cams and more at Africam.
