It is unlikely that I will ever be able to see Tigers in the wild – so the zoo is the next best place. It was very exciting when 2 young Tigers were born there last year and I visited a few times to watch them. They were usually sleeping and I have never been able to watch them play. I really wish they had bigger enclosures for them though.
While I was away this summer, one of the cubs died, so now there is just the one with mom – dad is kept in an adjacent enclosure. They have switched enclosures since the last time I was there. Dad had his head up, but his eyes closed and it was difficult getting a picture of him in the location he was in. Mom and cub were dozing in the other enclosure and I think it is the cub that I managed to get a couple of pictures of. Since they weren’t standing, I could not compare sizes and only one was looking my direction.

I think this looks like a baby face – but I really don’t know.
Now – after taking Chester for a walk, it is time to settle down and watch the cams at Africam to find out what has been happening while I was spending the night sleeping. Have a great day!
