Back to the Red River

I haven’t been taking my camera on walks with me for awhile now.  Partly because it was dark for our morning walks for most of the winter and party because we have been walking shorter distances and not making it to the river in an attempt to keep Chester from eating everything he sees.  I know he is eating because he is always hungry due to the meds, but I still haven’t found a foolproof way to get him to stop.  I’ve thought about a muzzle, but it isn’t easy to find one that will allow him to pant, yet not allow him to pick up things, but is comfortable for him.

Anyway, today we walked to the Red River and I took my camera with me to take pictures.  It is still completely frozen as expected.  We haven’t had many days where the temperature got above 0C yet this year and there is still about 2 feet of snow in my back yard.

The sun is shining here today, but it is currently -1C with snow predicted in the next couple of days.

Now, it is time to escape to Africam for awhile.  🙂  There is no snow there.
