I don’t see much of a difference in the Red River anymore. There were about 3 days where I could see a definite rise, but now it seems to be staying the same. It is hard to believe that is it, after all the snow we had here and further south during the winter.
You’ve probably seen me mention here that I don’t listen to or watch the news, so I have no idea if a flood is even expected or not – LOL.
So – today (well – May 3rd) we have the Red River, featuring the big tree across the river and the little tree on my side with the water up to its base and my Elephant Ear and more Tulips from my yard. Chester was spotting and stalking bunnies on our walk, but I wasn’t quick enough to get any pictures of them.
It is still sunny out and the temperature is great – in the high teens to the low 20’s range (that is in C temperatures so around 70F).
The Elephant Ear always surprises me (yes, even after all the years I’ve had it). It must stay green under the snow all winter long, because once the snow goes, it is green and just lifts the leaves (or ears) up. The smaller one has some dead leaves I have to remove, but the larger one is doing fine.
I’ve got time to spend on Africam before heading to work – see you there.
