When it was sunny yesterday, I took a couple of pictures of the big and little trees that gauge the Red River’s depth for me. The river has definitely gone down since my last pictures of it. I also walked by where the roadwork should be taking place, but other than a couple of times when someone has been there, it is still just the barricades. The Manitoba Marathon goes by here on Sunday, so I guess they will go around the barricades.

As well as getting some of my yard work done yesterday, I also spent a couple of hours at the Assiniboine Park Zoo. There are a couple of new exhibits there as well as the regulars to visit. I’ve just got one picture from there to show you today, but I’ll have more soon. This is one of the male Asian Lions.

So far at Africam today, we have seen Lion, Leopard, Crocodile, Elephant, Nyala, Duiker, Hyaena, Grey Heron, Saddlebill Stork, Zebra, Impala, Giraffe, Waterbuck, Hippo, Water Thick-Knee, Hamerkop, Dark-capped Bulbul and a beautiful sunrise. There is still plenty of time left in the day for more amazing sightings. You can see today’s pictures here.
