Around the Yard

My Mock Orange is starting to flower.  I love that Mock Orange.  🙂

My Peony is also flowering, but it looks like there will only be one flower this year.  There are other buds, but they don’t look like they are developing at all.  The Peony never does extremely well because it is in shade and the roots are much too deep but it usually has 5 or 6 flowers on it.  It wasn’t actually planted there, but ended up in that spot after construction work and the roots are under some heavy clay.  It came up in the middle of the lawn, so I just dug a small flower bed in between it and the Mountain Ash Tree.

I have pictures of those two, plus the finished Dwarf Burning Bushes after the last bag of dirt was added.

I probably should have dragged that old aquarium out from under the deck before I planted my bushes there.

It is back to work day after a 5 day weekend – but I got a lot of yard work and cleanup done on the weekend.  Amazingly enough, it has been hot and no rain for the whole 5 days, so now I have to water the flowerbed and lawn.

Time to get a bit of Africam watching and into my normal routine again.

    1. Thanks Sydney – I really like it too. I has no fruit – just the flowers that resemble an orange tree flower. It has a beautiful smell too. 🙂
