Near where I found the duck bump on the log, I found a gull the other day. He was very cooperative and posed nicely for me so I took a few pictures of him before I noticed that the Mallard Duck was still being a wonderful bump on the log.
The duck had been behind the grasses and bushes until I moved to the 2nd location for taking pictures, which is why I had only seen the gull who was further out and away from the riverbank a bit.
Our walks along the Red River are getting a little more interesting lately with some critter sightings again. Chester is interested in these birds more than the little warblers that I see and hear, but am seldom able to get pictures of with all the leaves in the trees.
The heat and humidity are still with us, but it is supposed to rain this afternoon and not get quite as hot.
I think I should spend a little time at Africam. See you there.
