Chester and I were walking along the Red River as usual on our morning walk. I didn’t see anything around, but then the female Wood Duck came flying in from behind us and landed by the logs were I have found bumps before. 🙂
I stopped and turned the camera on to get a picture of her as she swam over and onto a log. As she got up, I could see her ducklings all together on the log. Mom is busy grooming herself while the ducklings are just looking very cute.
I got some pictures – of course.

The little guys are all squished in tightly, and there are 8 ducklings for sure, but in one picture anyway, I think I count 9 of them. I sure hope they hang around so I can watch them grow up.
Its now time for a little bit of Africam watching and then I’m off to work. Have a great day!
This is such a lovely moment you have captured here! Love that mother and ducklings are all perched in a row together on the log!
