About once a year I see a Bald Eagle on my walk with Chester along the Red River. This morning was my once a year sighting and I wasn’t prepared for him. I had my camera with me and quickly clicked to turn it on. It made the on sound, but wasn’t on. At that point I knew I wouldn’t get a picture, so I just watched in awe as he flew right by me. This was the best sighting I’ve had as he was on my side of the river and almost level with me. Such a beautiful bird!
The Bald Eagle and the African Fish Eagle are very similar birds. Although I didn’t get a picture today, I do have pictures of both these birds taken in the wild.
The Bald Eagle was a long way away and I used every bit of zoom to get this picture. The camera I had then did not have as much zoom as the one I used for the African Fish Eagle (which was much closer anyway).
I finished bagging and bundling the branches that I cut yesterday. That pile of branches made one fairly large bundle and less than 1/2 a bag filled. The bundle is ready to be picked up, but I will find more to fill the bag before pickup day.
