On Saturday, I took my ladder to the Plum Tree and started cutting some dead branches that I could not reach from the ground or with the step ladder. I managed to get a nice pile of dead branches, but I still wanted to get one live branch that was right in the hydro wires to the house. The squirrel wasn’t happy with me in his tree, as I found out that he uses this tree to get to the wires to take him wherever else he wants to go. I thought I might have got him in one of my pictures as I was trying to show the branch I still wanted to get – but he was nowhere to be seen. I wasn’t trying to get a picture of him, but I saw him just as I clicked the shutter.
I did get up to the branch I wanted, but as I started to saw on it, I noticed the wires going back and forth and decided it wasn’t a good move to continue.
If they are going to have the lines dropped when pruning my Elm Tree that might be the time for me to get that branch. I hope they are going to do the work on a day when I’m home.
You can see the branch I want best, in the last picture. The branch right in the middle forks so that part goes under and part goes over the line.
Chester was busy catching and eating wasps while I was working on branches.
