Geese on the Red River

There were some Canada Geese resting on the Red River when Chester and I went for our walk yesterday morning.  The sun was just coming up so some of the pictures aren’t as clear or focused as I would like, but I really liked the colour from the sun on the water – so I kept them anyway.  🙂

We saw a couple of Mallard Ducks too – but they were camera shy and headed for the bank where the bushes blocked them from my lens.

Today is World Rhino Day.  The rhino are being killed or just mutilated and left to die with their horns hacked off.  To raise awareness I am participating in a twitterstorm using #iam4rhino.  We need one million tweets.  If you use twitter, please help and spread the word.  The rhino horn does not have any magical components – it does not heal, it does not do anything for anyone other than the rhino.  You can find more information on the twitterstorm at I Am 4 Rhino.
