Chester and I were not seeing much of interest on our walk yesterday. The sunrise wasn’t very interesting, although the water was very colourful. I was looking towards the construction, but nothing much had changed there when suddenly I saw a deer down by the water. She came out from behind a bush, bounding along, past us and continued moving. My camera wasn’t on, so I quickly turned it on and started snapping pictures although I wasn’t sure if they would turn out due to the lighting and her speed. I hadn’t even taken the time to zoom in – so I had to crop what I did get, but a couple of them are quite good. 🙂
I had to lighten the first picture quite a bit to be able to see her, but after that she was more visible with the water behind her. You can see her tail and then notice her body in the one above. You can click on any of the pictures to make them larger, which might help too.
I hope she follows the river to get safely out of the city where she belongs but it was sure a nice surprise to see her there.
Amazingly enough, Chester didn’t even notice her – which was nice. Otherwise, he might have made it difficult to get the pictures.
Time for some Africam viewing – see you there.
