Random Pics

It was just barely light enough outside the last couple of mornings since there were no clouds that I managed a couple of pictures when Chester and I walked along the Red River.  I actually didn’t expect them to turn out well enough to post and, especially the trees across the river, since I couldn’t even see them this well.  This camera does pretty good in low light situations.

So, we have the unknown (to me anyway) equipment coming up from the riverbank, a Canada Goose on the river and the trees across the river.

The trees pictures actually was just a random picture to see if it would turn out and I was quite surprise that it did.  Not a high quality picture of course, but it was taken from a distance with very low light.

Speaking of trees – my trees have an appointment with a pruner tomorrow.  If I can manage to keep a clear spot on the street in front of my house, so the pruners can get their equipment into my yard, they will be pruning my Oak in the front, my 2 Ashes in the front and parts of my big Elm in the back.  That is 1/2 my trees and next year I will see about getting the other 1/2 looked after.

  1. Good morning, Mavis. I see some of the trees have lost their leaves already. Not sure if I’m ready for Winter quite yet! (LOL Not that my not being ready will slow it down any!) When I went out of town last weekend I was surprised to see how many crops are still in the fields. We got a ton of rain last night…which isn’t helping I’m sure. Love your pictures! Love and hugs to you, Chester, and Jewel!

    1. I’m never ready for winter Hazel. I haven’t checked out the fields around here – but we had a late start to summer, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there are still plenty of crops left on the fields here too. Chester sends a big sloppy kiss to you and Olivia – Jewel says hello! 🙂
