After the tree pruning, I am thrilled with the results. I love my big trees, but I often complain that I have too much shade. Now, I have my trees, but the sun can still make it’s way to the ground and into my windows. I’m anxious to see how my flowers do next year and I’m thinking that the day lilies might be given another chance to show off.
It was too dark to take pictures on our walk today, but Chester found several bunnies. I’m sure he can see better in the low light than he can when the sun is shining. I found several ducks on the Red River and if they had not been moving, I might have attempted a picture. I knew a moving duck at that distance in the low light would just be a blur.
I need a stew recipe that includes pumpkin. I had a Hunter’s Stew at Lower Sabi while in South Africa last year and it was the best stew I’ve ever had. I bought a pumpkin, cut it up and made a stew yesterday. It wasn’t bad, but sure wasn’t the same as the one from Lower Sabi. I have a lot of pumpkin left over to try again one day.
I saw this on Facebook this morning and since I have acquired a taste for the dust and much more. I thought I would post it here too.
Have a wonderful day!
