Chester and I had our usual early morning walk when it is too dark to see much of anything and then we decided to take another walk in the early afternoon. Its nice to be able to see what is going on if only once a week. The fall colours are looking beautiful and I took enough pictures along the riverbank and on the walk as well as in my yard that I have something to show for the next few days at least.
Today we have the colours and a couple of ducks from the Red River. These were taken under a cloudy sky (since that is what we have).
We are getting some beautiful weather for this time of year. October can be very chilly but we have been getting highs in the high teens to mid 20’s C the last few days. Hopefully this will last for a few more weeks. 🙂
We have had some wonderful Lion, Leopard and even Cheetah sightings lately on the cameras at Africam. It is always exciting to see any of the cats – but we have many more sightings also, including Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Waterbuck, Warthogs, Nyala, Kudu and more. The Black Eagles have a chick who is quickly growing and looking adorable. The second egg did not hatch, so we don’t have to worry about watching the younger one being killed by its older sibling this year.
