Ice has started for form on the Red River.
Once this very thin layer starts, it will not be long before it is thick enough for a bird to walk on and from then on – it only gets thicker.
Chester and I took our walk along the Red River after the sun has just shown itself, so there wasn’t anything really for a sunrise picture, but it sure lit up the riverbank on this side for some nice colours to go along with the ice.
No snow yet, as you can see, and with luck we will get another few weeks before enough comes down to stay.
The temperature has remained below 0C for a few days now, but they say it might get above by Friday. Of course, that won’t last long.
