Chester & the Bed – it has been a week since I put the styrofoam step so Chester can get up onto my bed and it is really working out well. I’ve noticed that he is going upstairs when he is home alone now. He used to spend his time alone sleeping on the bed, but for the last several months, he is always at the back door. Now, he comes downstairs when I get home so I know he has been on the bed. That is much more comfortable for him than the skinny mat at the back door.
The snow barricade across sidewalk – it is still there, protecting the sidewalk from many people who might want to walk along it – especially seniors. It is actually more of a obstacle course now, because plows cleaned the road a bit and dumped the chunks on top of the snow bank beside the sidewalk, causing another avalanche onto the sidewalk. This didn’t make the hurdle any higher – just made it longer and chunky. Maybe I’m in training for something and didn’t know it.
40 bags in 40 days – I am slowly working on the de-cluttering/de-crapifying job. As I said in the beginning, it would just be weekends for me and it would be squeezed in between my regular chores and errands, but extra trash and recycling is being removed from the house every week. Total count so far is 12 bags (9 trash and 3 recycling). I am working on one more bag of each today, but have stalled on the paper shredding. My poor old shredder bogs down and needs several breaks and I have a lot of old paper to get rid of.
The little Squirrel Thief – he finished off the bird food – or at least got it all out of the holder, but came back today to search for little scraps of food that he might have missed. I saw him out my upstairs window when I was moving my night side stand away from its old location to a new one and had to come downstairs to take more pictures from the living room window.
