Happy Easter

Hope everyone has a happy Easter.

Today I have more Red River pictures from our walk this morning.  As predicted yesterday, there is no sign of the red post in the water today.

I also have 3 stories from work yesterday.  None of them were happy and one was tragic.

The red post is directly in front of the post in the middle bottom of the above picture – no sign of it.

The big tree across the river has water right up to it already.

Now the work stories:

1 – A lady arrived to spend the day at the Y, but she had a cat with her.  Her apartment was being sprayed and she had to be out for the day.  There was no place for her and her cat to spend the day and management contacted her social worker who made other arrangements for her.

2 – A co-worker had her car’s oil changed the night before, but the car ran out of oil when she drove to get her lunch.  The manager of another oil change company walked over, looked at the car and told her that the plug had not been put in or had fallen out and she would need a new engine.  The manager of the company who had changed the oil also came and wanted to tow the car to his facility to check it out.  The 2 managers argued and my co-worker called the car dealership who said they would tow it to their facility and fix it and charge the bill to the ones who changed the oil.  While she was waiting for the tow truck, she saw the oil company’s truck towing her vehicle, ran out to stop them and got them to put it back so the dealership could get it themselves.  She had been planning on driving it to Alberta this morning, but had to make other plans.

3 – A Police Officer brought his retired Police Dog to talk to a senior group in the building.  While there, the dog suddenly collapsed and was rushed to a veterinarian.  We heard later that x-rays showed that she was full of cancer and she had to be euthanized.

  1. How sad especially no. 3. My heart goes out for the dog.
They say things run in threes and it appeared to be for you on that day.
Hope you have a better day.
Nice to see Red River again. Lets hope with the lateness the weather will continue on into Spring/Summer/Autumn for much longer
happy Easter and enjoy your break from work.

    1. Thanks Mary. I agree that no.3 was very sad. We were all upset about her and even more so when we heard the news about the cancer later. Happy Easter to you also. 🙂
