Love the Heat

Wow 2 hot days in a row – after about 300 days of freezing temperatures.  We went from having the heat on in the house about a week ago to having the air conditioner on.  Usually in the spring we can go for a month or more without heat or air conditioning – but this year has been very different from most.

I will never complain about the heat – but I am sure the people who work outdoors in the heat may say something different.  I can go from my air conditioned house to my air conditioned car to (for a few more days) my air conditioned workplace.  Right now it is 32C or 90F.

We can expect thunder storms when it gets hot like this.

Due to us finally getting some heat, the leaves are opening on the trees and the flowers are blooming.  Yesterday I showed you tulip buds and today they are blooming.  The levels on the Red River are dropping as can been seen with today’s picture of the big tree across the river.

Tomorrow I start on my last week of work at the Y.  Last week I worked my last Thursday and each day this week will be my last.  I will have to look for something part time in order to cover the gap between income and expenses, but I will have a few days or weeks to relax before that has to happen.
