As always, Chester is looking for bunnies when we head out on our walks in the morning. He often finds one in our neighbour’s yard and as usual today, we hadn’t gone far before he froze as he saw one. I have no idea how long he could stand and stare (point) at one because I can’t stand still that long. So, I normally continue walking a bit. Sometimes the bunny will take off and Chester will continue on and sometimes the bunny stays where it is, staring back at Chester. Then I normally have to pull on Chester’s leash and move him forward enough so that the bunny will take off.
This morning, I ended up giving Chester a pull to get him to move so the bunny would move, when suddenly another bunny started moving too, and the 2 were racing around the yard while Chester watched. One came out into our yard and the other disappeared – so Chester still had one left to stalk. That one kept ahead of us for several houses, so Chester was kept busy stalking him for awhile. 🙂
I managed to get a couple of bunny pics.
While walking along the Red River, I saw a mystery critter in the distance. My first thought was crocodile – but since we’re in Winnipeg, that isn’t apt to happen. Using my trust zoom lens on the camera and then with the magic of photo crop, I was able to bring it in much closer.
So – its really a log – but it does kind of look like a Croc – doesn’t it?
I haven’t seen any babies around, but I am sure that this place will be swarming with the little guys before much longer.
It is a beautiful morning here and it is now time to head out and get the lawn mower going again. 🙂
