The bunnies and birds are (of course) from our walk to and along the Red River. Chester watches for bunnies, while I watch for birds. The Elephants are from my picture, which is now hanging on a wall in my home.
The 2 bunnies were so busy playing that they didn’t notice Chester and me as we approached them – Chester low and stalking, while I walked right along. Just as I was ready to take a picture, they noticed us and stopped in their tracks.
The bird is probably a Song Sparrow. He was certainly blasting out a song as I took his picture. He was quite a distance away and it was a dark, cloudy morning, so the picture isn’t the best – but you can see that he is singing. 🙂
I found a great place for my Elephant picture. It is between 2 windows in a corner of my room. It is very close to my computer, so I can just turn to look at it any time and the one window give it a great lighting.
I sent an email to the artist, asking if there was a story behind the picture. I know that with pictures I have taken, I always have a bit of a story to go along with pretty much every one and I am hoping that Ruane Manning has one for this picture and that he is willing to share it. I will let you know if I hear from him.
