I was not expecting to see much on today’s walk due to the fog covering, but took my camera as usual when Chester and I headed out. I took pictures of a couple of things that are still waiting for the city to look after – one from the winter and one from early summer. I pass these spots every day.
The first one is the fence that was destroyed by the sidewalk plow at the end of March – so its been just about 5 months. If you missed it, you can find that post here.
This is what it looks like today. Chester has his eyes on some squirrels up ahead and is not interested in the fence.
Next on the list is a large branch that blew down in one of our early summer wind storms. For this one, I think that if this branch was laying right in front of my house, I would have cut it up long ago and put out in a yard bag to be taken away. I don’t know the people who live here though and can’t say if this is something possible for them or not. I probably would have done the same for a close neighbour if they were unable to do it also – and no one has done anything except move it off the sidewalk and onto the boulevard. And months later, it is still there waiting for the city to pick up.
As you can see in these 2 pictures, we have fog in the background – so I took a couple of pictures of the Red River in fog.
Ooops – as I was closing this up to head for work, I realized I went back into time to yesterday. Today’s walk was on Tuesday. I can’t change the title or that would change the link to the page though – so just pretend that it says Tuesday instead of Monday – OK? 🙂
Have a great day!
