Along the Red River and Back at Home

Yesterday morning’s walk with Chester along the Red River showed that several of the bushes have not been planted, but there are still many in pots.  I will have to see how things look there this morning.

We also had a very quick glimpse of a Beaver.  It has been awhile since I’ve seen a Beaver along here, but this guy was not in the mood for pictures and I was lucky to get one picture.  He kept diving under just as I was ready to snap most of the pictures I tried to get and the only one I did get is not as clear as I would have liked.

No sky pictures because it was completely cloudy without any sign of the sun trying to get through.

A large branch fell from my neighbour’s tree the other night.  By the time I got home from work yesterday, it was all cut up and mostly hauled away.  I got a picture before the clean up.

Chuck from the Handyman Connection was back and working on my sun room outer walls again today.  He actually gave me a quick pose in front of what he had accomplished by noon.  There is still lots to do – but looking better already.

And at the end of day 2, this is what it looks like.

  1. Lovely pictures, Mavimet. I always enjoy them and your posts whenever I get time to visit here. Such a treat to see your photo of the beaver swimming contently in water so supreme. It’s been over thirty years since I’ve seen one near the shores of wet, slapping his wide paddle-like tail while building a dam. Truly remarkable creatures of nature. Thank you, Mavimet. 🙂

    1. Thanks kcg1974. I would love to have the beaver stick around, but the Red River is just too wide for him to think about building a dam. Hope he finds a good safe place to live.
