I am talking about the weather (of course). Here in Winnipeg (Winterpeg), it gets cold in December and stays cold until things thaw out to melt the snow sculptures in February. This year it got cold in December and then warmed up above 0C – also in December. So we had about 10 days of melting snow and slop everywhere.
I am not a neat freak about my car, but I sure hated getting into a vehicle as dirty as mine (and everyone else’s) got during the thaw. Of course, we got a bit of freezing rain just as the temperature dropped again so we had a skating rink everywhere. The sidewalks, lanes, parking lots and residential streets were bad.
Things are back to normal (whatever that is) again. Temperatures are around -10C, which is mild for now, but much appreciated. We’re good until it gets into the -40C stuff.
The sun was shining when Chester and I took our afternoon walk today – so I brought the camera along and snapped a few pictures.
