Wolves – Assiniboine Park Zoo

In my quest to walk last week, I went to the Assiniboine Park Zoo one day.  I had my camera with me and took pictures (of course).  There are too many pictures to put them all in one post, so will divide them over a few posts.

Parts of the Journey to Churchill display is wonderful because of all the space the critters have.  The Polar Bears have a lot of space and so do the Wolves.  I believe the Wolves are only here until they have more bears, but I would sure like to keep them.  There are 2 cubs in quarantine yet, so I don’t know where they will go when ready to come out.

Today’s pictures are of the Wolves.  I am not even sure how many there are – but I believe 2 or 3 of them.

There is a Muskox at the left of the picture above, and does not look like anything separates the Wolf from the Muskox, but the barriers between the exhibits are hidden, making it look open.

It was a very cloudy day, and the pictures show that – but it was fairly warm and pleasant day to wander around there.  In total I walked 11.43 miles that day.  🙂

  1. Nice pictures. Cloudy days can make for interesting photos. The last photo is very nearly a monotone except for the bit of grass in the foreground.
