On Monday I went back to Fort Whyte to spend a bit of time there. Next time I will bring my lunch with me or bring some money to get lunch at the restaurant there. I spent 2 hours walking the trails and didn’t cover all of it, but got hungry and had to go. Next time I also plan on sitting in a quiet area (there are lots of benches) and waiting for some birds to come to me so I can get more and better pictures. There are so many little birds and I couldn’t get the camera zoomed and focused quick enough to get pictures, but if I am sitting, I won’t scare them away. I haven’t even tried to figure out what some of these birds are yet, but will enter it here once I do.
Here are some of the pictures I managed to take.

A few steps after this nesting goose is her mate (guard goose). I wasn’t sure if he would let me by or if I would have to retrace my steps and go another way. After a bit of hissing, he did let me continue.

My height is just under where it says Cow – so even the female Buffalo is taller than me – but I’m bigger than the Calf. 🙂

It was a cloudy day with a bit of drizzle, but it was nice to be out in the fresh air.
