Since my big trip to South Africa in 2012 (3 whole years ago in August), I have been trying to think of what to do with all my pictures. A photo book had been one of my thoughts, but the price scared me considering the number of pictures I would want in it.
Someone at work told me to check out Groupon, where they sell discounted items and where she had purchased one for a photo book. Her book looked great, so I signed up for the Groupon notices. A photo book Groupon was offered in one of the first notices I got – so I bought it.
It turns out it wasn’t the same company that she had used and I later saw several different photo book options – but I am hoping this one will be just as good as the one she used.
For the last couple of weeks, I have been putting it together and it is almost finished now.
I have no idea how many pictures I have chosen, but I have just over 100 pages so far and just a few more pictures to go. I may still re-arrange and make little changes, but I think I’m almost ready to submit it. Hopefully it doesn’t cost too much more, but the Groupon deal covered 40 pages, plus the cover.
I copied 2 random facing pages to get opinions. I have absolutely no spaces between the pictures and my only commentary is listing the critters shown and giving my location at the end of the day. On rare occasions, I did tell a bit more of a story. What do you think? Do you think this will be ok – or should have have spaces and more information? Do the pages look too crowded? This is my book for my viewing, but I am sure I will be showing it to people too.

The pages are 15″ x 11″, so I think the pictures should all be a decent size for viewing. Some pages have more pictures and some pages have less – I say anywhere from 1 to 10 pictures on a page.
Thanks for any advice and suggestions. I am open to hearing what you think.
