I was so excited about my hot air balloon ride scheduled for this morning – but they cancelled it last night based on the forecast. The weather was looking fine, but the wind was predicted to be 25 km in the morning and for the rest of the day. 25 km is 13.5 knots and they cut flights off if it is more than 10 knots wind speed. This morning the wind speed was actually 15 km, which is 8 knots and would have been perfect. The sky is blue with little puffs of clouds and the sunrise was looking great when Chester and I took our walk.

I have now re-booked for September 25th and hopefully will have some amazing pictures to show you then.
Meanwhile, I got to meet the newest member of the family yesterday when the Calgary branch of the family arrived to have 5 generation photos taken. Four of the 5 generation live in Calgary, but my Mom is here – so they all came here.

Front and Centre is Little Noah, held by my Mom Hazel. Centre in the back is my sister Sharon – to the left is Sharon’s daughter Heather and to the right is Heather’s daughter Kristen (Noah’s Mom).
Sorry to hear the balloon was cancelled and hope you have better luck next time

Thanks Mary – I hope so too. If that flight is cancelled I will have to wait until spring.
