On a beautiful day like we are having here in Winnipeg today, the in and out could easily refer to Chester wanting out and wanting in again and again (which he has, of course, been doing).
In this instance though, I have been using Winnipeg FreeShare for my ins and outs. It used to be FreeCycle, but we dropped out of that organization and started our own last year.
My in, is a new little tree – a variegated Ficus. It is just a little guy (or girl) – about 4 feet tall. The little girl where I picked it up had to say good-bye before I took it and told me that she had named it Marsha. So Marsha has a new home here now.
I have pruned off all the dead twigs and straightened her up a bit and she looks great. Now I have to leave her alone and let her pout over the move and pruning so that she can settle in here. I have surrounded her pot with some woodland creatures that had been sitting on top of the bookcase. Next weekend when I clean Freddy’s tank again, I will be moving him closer to Marsha and the critters.
The out, is a bookcase that was full of books that I haven’t looked at in years and decided to give them away to someone interested. The bookcase itself has already left and the books are still waiting for their new home. Too bad I didn’t think of this sooner and could have donated them to the Children’s Hospital book sale.
Chester is never far away and had to get into the picture. 🙂
I also have some pictures of the sunrise from September 27th.
Some fall colours have started showing themselves here, so I took a couple of pictures of that this afternoon too.
