We were getting so close to not having enough snow on the ground to call it a white Christmas. But that was all buried under the snowfall that arrived over the last couple of days.
OK – it looks pretty – but I am the one who has to shovel it – so I am allowed to complain. To be honest, my new neighbours have helped with shoveling and I really appreciate that. I was out in the back while (unknown to me) they were cleaning up my front. I finished the back I walked around to the front to find all that was left to clean was my steps.
After finishing up and warming up inside, I heard the sound of the snow plows working on the lane. Of course, that means there will be a pile of chunks behind my car that has to be moved.
I just got back inside after doing that a few minutes ago. Over the years, I have learned that this pile will harden and be extremely difficult to break up and move, if left to be done later.
It has been awhile since I have posted a picture of Chester – so here he is posing for me today. 🙂
