Obviously, it is officially spring – but the weather really doesn’t know how to cooperate sometimes. It seemed to be a very early spring when the snow melted in March – but since it melted, it has snowed a few more times and the cold has remained since the last snow.
I had one tiny crocus bloom in March, but that didn’t last long.
The geese and gulls and some of the ducks have returned to the city in full force though and the Red River is completely free of ice.
My facebook page keeps popping up with pictures that I posted 3 or 7 years ago that show lots of ice still on the Red River – so I guess spring is earlier this year – but some warm weather would make it much better.
I have made my booking to go on the hot air balloon this year, since I didn’t end up getting a date that it could fly last year. Hopefully this will be my last booking and I’ll have my flight in May.
