My tall Iris flowers are now out. The only problem with the tall Iris plants is that they go down in the wind, and wind is certainly not uncommon here. I got a couple of pictures a few days ago and then I took one picture this morning after they were mostly on the ground.
The Peony will soon have flowers as the buds are getting big now.
My late Lilac has flowers – but nowhere near the amount as the early one from next door.
I have quite a few boxes packed now and I just know that I will need something one day that is packed – but life goes on and soon we will be settled in the new apartment. I have taken a few boxes over there already, but without furniture, it is hard to put the items anywhere. The kitchen cupboards are holding most of what is there.
Chester has started to calm down and will even lie down on his own for short periods when we are there. He likes to go out on the balcony and look around and he knows where his water is to get a drink whever he wants. I haven’t been able to walk him all the way to the river yet because the trail is still very wet and muddy. Hopefully in the next day or so we will get to explore more of the area. A few days without rain would really help.
