It is a fairly nice day so far with snow lightly falling, just a little bit of wind and the temperature hovering around -15C. They were predicting another storm, but it looks like that has been dropped from the Winnipeg forecast at this time.
I decided to take a little drive through St. Vital Park and see how it is looking this winter. As expected, it is covered in snow, but the roads through it were fine and I saw that walking paths and ski paths seems to be looking good too. I didn’t check out the skating rink or the toboggan slides, since I don’t take pictures of people, and I just drove around the outside all the way around.
The Christmas Tree Grave Yard. The trees are mulched by the city and used for landscaping.
Since I don’t take pictures of people, it really looks like the park was deserted, but there were actually quite a few people out this morning.
It looks very peaceful Mavis, you found some good places for your photos 🙂

Thanks Irene. We do have a lot of parks in the city and then, of course, the much larger and wilder ones outside the city too. 🙂

I just enjoy your trips Mavis and get a chance to see your area in this way, which I really enjoy 🙂

H.us.h. The trees are silent because they know another dump of snow is coming and they haven’t had time to acclimate. No More Please they beg. 🙂

Yes – we’ve had more than enough – but I expect more will come before winter decides to leave us.

Thanks. This is a fairly normal amount of snow – but the last 2 years we had much less, so that makes it seem to be a lot to us too.

I grew up in snow. Living in California now, we rarely see it. But I do miss an afternoon walk through a snow-capped forest. Lovely photos, Mavis. Thank you 🙂

Since you were kind enough to offer, Mavis, I saved a few of the above to my pictures folder. Now I can take that walk any time I wish … Thank you ♥
