English Garden – Assiniboine Park

Every morning I head over to the hospital to visit with my mother who is recovering from her broken shoulder after a fall in August.  Today, my brother Doug and his wife Erin from B.C. were going to be visiting with her at lunch time and I decided I would return to have lunch with them also.

Parking times are limited at the hospital, as I am sure they are at every hospital, so I went out to move it after an hour and thought a visit to the English Garden at Assiniboine Park would be a nice way to spend an hour or so.

The famous Boy with the Boot greets everyone as they enter.

We have had some pretty cool nights, but all the flowers seem to be thriving and are looking gorgeous!  Enjoy!

I am guessing that the next picture is of a Butterfly Bush, because it was certainly attracting the Butterflies along with some Ladybugs.

Next is Queen Victoria’s corner, with a closeup of the flowers around her monument.

So many gorgeous flowers!

I really love the colours of the last 2 Roses, so they get larger pictures.

After touring the gardens, I headed back to the hospital and had a nice lunch with my Mom, Doug and Erin.
