Winter is HERE (and a Short Walk)

I checked the temperature, which was about -10C, and the sun was shining, so I decided to take a walk at Fort Whyte Alive this morning. I didn’t notice the wind until I had arrived at my destination and that wind hit hard. I was already there though, so I entered and started my walk.

I only walked the short side of Fort Whyte Alive where most of the ponds & lakes are. I didn’t go on the floating docks though, as the wind was nasty in open areas.

Guess it is time to start to bundle up on my walks again. I will also be digging out my shoe spikes. The trails weren’t too slippery, but there is some walking on a road, which would have been better with spikes. Winter has arrived.

If all goes as planned – this will be my LAST Manitoba winter.
