I went on another senior’s bus trip a couple of day ago – to Whistler in British Columbia. It was a beautiful day! Unfortunately, I left my camera at home, so the photos today were taken on my phone.

The above photo has nothing to do with the trip to Whistler, but it is a big deal that Chilliwack is now celebrating its 150th anniversary! And (of course) it has the beautiful Great Blue Heron on it!
So, we left Chilliwack at 7:30 am heading for Whistler. We stopped for a short break at a small waterfall to stretch our legs and use the facilities and we were soon on our way.

Next stop would be when we were almost there. We stopped at a Golf Course for our lunch. I only took one photo of some golfers out on the greens.

Then we got back on the bus to resume our journey up to Whistler.

I didn’t take many photos in Whistler – just the beautiful flowers and me showing my muscles π
All the way up most of us were debating as to whether we would take the gondola ride up the mountain. The cost was $80.00 which seemed like a lot, but the views were apparently amazing. The problem was resolved when we found out that the gondolas were not in service. There were some working a little further down the mountain, but none of us were about to walk down there just to pay them $80.00 so we could walk back up the mountain to where we would be picked up to return home. So, we wandered around and looked at the sites in town. When we were almost finished our visit, some of us went for an ice cream cone.

These were the only photos I took in the town.
Because this was a bus load of seniors, we did have one more restroom stop on the way home and I wandered around and took a few photos there. We were just across the highway from the ferry terminal.

The rest of my photos were taken through the bus windows as we drove.

This is one of the many bridges in Vancouver. The sun was just at the right angle to really show it off.
From this point it was just over one more hour to get us home. It was a long day with too much sitting on the bus for me – but it was a great day! Next trip is much closer to home and involves eating.
