I started my morning at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve and after wandering around there taking photos, I stopped at the Sardis Park/Pond on the way home. All the photos are in in one gallery and can be viewed individually (in larger size) if you click on one and scroll through them.

yikes! That is a lot of herons! I am lucky if I see one all summer!
I have been remiss in my walking logs. Keeping up the steps, but the TMD makes it so hard to swallow, speak, and I do my comments using the magic microphone!
Hopethe trail is treating you well. Strapping in for another wild climate ride this summer. And election in the fall, God help us. Assuming there is a fall? Pretty sure we did not get much winter here! Not good!
hugs to Daisy. Next time you have her! Cheers, stumblebum
Two with a new Apple iPhone after nothing but android phones. Very confusing. Hope this gets through!

Thanks Tim. One thing I found out after moving here is that the Herons nest in colonies – and it just happens that they have a permanent colony at the Heron reserve. I seldom saw any in Manitoba, except for when I went up to the national park in Manitoba – but I was not aware then that they nested in colonies and re-use the nests each year.
I made the switch to an iPhone a few years ago too. I’m sure I would be lost if I tried to go back to an android.

Good to hear from you Tim. I haven’t been keeping up with blogs or anything else. I am walking every day though- but not taking many photos. I did take a few this morning though.

Hi Tim. I
I decided to stop writing after several years as I seldom have anything different to write about. I Otherwise was time to make a payment to add more pages to the blog. I thought this was a good time. You can always send an email to mavimet@gmail.com
I do check my Gmail every day . How are you doing?
