Return to the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve

I have been taking photos all summer long, but for some unknown reason, I just posted them on my facebook page.

The biggest disappointment on this walk was that the Vedder Rotary Trail is closed and has been for most of the summer. They are working on it, but not sure what they are doing. The Vedder Rotary trail includes every place that it goes along the Vedder River. Hopefully it will be open by the end of October.

You can see the photos in a larger size if you click on one and then scroll through all of them.

I do love the beautiful Great Blue Herons – but I did not see any Herons actually at the Heron Reserve. This one was in the Sardis Park/Pond and he was catching tiny critters to eat.

If you are interested in following my photos on my facebook page, you can follow me on facebook at any time. You can look for me on Facebook under the name Mavis Metcalf.

  1. it has been a long summer trail, all right. Just not that many steps! My trail has been figuratively closed. Yours is actually closed! Unfortunate! Love those pictures of the blue herons, though wherever you find them! Hope you and yours are all staying well! Cheers, stumblebum
