On my drive out to Lockport the other day, I saw a hot air balloon floating in the sky. I remembered the day I finally had a ride in that balloon. I say finally – because it took several bookings before the weather was just right, but it was worth the wait.
After that thought, I continued out to Lockport – but on the return drive to Winnipeg, I thought about Kildonan Park. That is where the hot air balloon ride was scheduled to start each time – before cancellation due to the weather. Link to the flight.
Other than all the attempts to get on the balloon ride, I had hardly been to Kildonan Park, except for a couple of times when I went to take photos of the flowers. This time I took flower photos – but then I walked around the entire park, which I have never done before. It was a beautiful walk.
Witches Hut – front & back –> I’ve never been in it and due to Covid-19 – I didn’t get to go inside it this time either. Another little pond with lots of birds. Couldn’t resist the cute Red Squirrel Rainbow Stage (outdoor theatre) I’ve never been there though. Canada Geese on the Red River I met sweet Stanley (& his humans) when I was almost finished my walk.
