I had to head for the Vancouver area this morning and decided to leave a bit earlier than required, so I could stop in at the Zoo. Looking back at my posts, it seems my last visit there was in March.

The last time I was there, the birds were still under lock-down due to the avian flu – I was so happy to see them out now.

I was so happy to see the Ostrich was out also. She might be the one who entertained me before they were locked up – but she came right up to the fence to say hi. The Badger is a critter who has avoided me every time I had been there before today – but today, he was out and enjoying him (or her) self.

The bears (of course) were in different enclosures – but not too far apart.

I only saw one Bald Eagle. I don’t know if the other one is still there or not – but he (or her) posed beautifully for me.

Finally a great view of the gorgeous Silver Fox. I caught a glimpse of him (or her) once before, but did not give me enough time to get a photo. This time he (or she) posed beautifully.
