After my first trip to Bunn’s Creek Trail, I checked a map to see where the creek ends so I can walk from there back to the park. It turns out that it ends when it enters the Red River and there is a parking lot there – so that is where I headed this morning. It was a beautiful morning, with the temperature above 0C for the first time in a few days. Having the sun shining was a bonus. π
From the parking lot, I first walked the path to the river where I took a few photos before starting.
The path to the Red River from the parking lot I should have taken a closer photo of that painted rock. Looking north on the Red River Looking south on the Red river The exact spot where Bunn’s Creek enters the Red River
View after crossing Henderson Highway – the views from that apartment would be lovely. Bunn’s Creek going under the first road (other than Henderson Highway) Stream is frozen – by the looks of the bike tire tracks on it There are a few wide open parks along this trail.
All the photos from today’s walk were taken on parts of the trail that I did not walk on my last trip there. I did walk all the way to the park (where I started last time) and back again to the river.
I didn’t have any better luck finding birds or critters on this trip – they must all go into hiding when they hear I’m going to be there with my camera.
My FitBit indicates I walked 6 km or about 3.75 miles in about 1.5 hours.
Thank you for sharing these amazing photos. You do a great job of documenting your experiences.

Thanks Hazel – it is a great place to walk and the temperature is supposed to be around freezing for a few days – so I may be outside walking again soon.
