A Little Walk

This morning I had an appointment at my bank (or I thought I did – but more on that later). My car is on vacation in another city, so I got up nice & early to have enough time to walk there. I have walked this distance a few times since I moved here about a year ago and I know it would take me a little over 1 hour. That depends on how many times I stop to take photos. I also planned on stopping for breakfast somewhere along the way.

This was near the beginning of my walk as I am walking over the bridge that that goes over railway tracks. I’ve walked over this bridge a few times, but only seen a train a couple of times.
Wildflowers with a little creek in the background.
Rows & rows of beautiful corn.

Phones are not great at distance photography. My camera could have zoomed in on both of these birds so I would have been able to tell what they are. The bird in the first one is the white speck at the top and I believe the bird in the 2nd one on the pole is a hawk.

On the way home, I saw a Great Blue Heron in this creek. Although not a great photo, at least we can see that is is a Heron. (near center & close to the top).

In total, I walked 14.3 km ( 8.9 miles) – going and returning.

When I got to the bank, I wasn’t in her schedule for the day, but she still sat down to go over my account with me. I made the appointment online in her calendar a couple of weeks ago, but maybe I didn’t click on the set button. I have no idea, but we had a pleasant conversation and she addressed any concerns I had. On top of that, I had a good walk.

    1. Thanks Mary – I usually drive to where I want to walk, but with my car being with my daughter, I have to walk wherever I go. Hopefully I get my car back soon.
